Art on a Lark Studio is located in downtown Hillsboro, but is working with Hillsboro Public Library to offer 3 classes at both Hillsboro library locations. All classes require registration. Stop by the library, call 503-615-6500, or register online for the classes using the links below.
Paper Making
Sunday, July 18, 2 - 4 p.m.
Hillsboro Main Library
Discover all the steps to making handmade paper in this class. Take old recyclable paper and turn it into a new creation! Materials are provided and include: Scrap paper, water, blender, irons, and paper making kit. Class is limited to 12 and for ages 12 and up.
Registration for this class is available June 1 - July 11.
Collage People
Saturday, August 14, 2 - 4 p.m.
Hillsboro Shute Park Branch Library
This is a perfect twist on paper dolls – and who said paper dolls are just for kids? Color body parts and objects and assemble them into a creature or person! Materials are provided and include: Copies of "parts", colored pencils, hole punches, brads, scissors. Class is limited to 15 people and for ages 8 and up.
Registration for this class is available July 1 - August 7.
Altered Books Beginnings

Hillsboro Main Library
Learn some of the basics in the world of Altered Books, including how to add in and take out pages, adding color, and cutting a simple niche. Materials are provided and include: Pictures, Paints, Inks, Glue, Scissors, Embellishments, Craft Knives & Mats, Brads, Hole Punches and Books. Students need to bring a hardcover book to alter. The books need strong spines and pages. This class is limited to 15 people is designed for ages 14 and up.
Registration for this class is available July 15 - August 21.
