Summer Readers
For children grades 5 and younger who are reading on their own.
Summer Readers may choose their own goal of reading either:

20 books
-
on 20 days
-
20 units of 15 minutes each
Small prizes are given at sign-up, and when readers reach their goal they are awarded several more small prizes and their choice of a free paperback for their home library.
There are a variety of performances and special programs for summer readers to attend. For your convenience, countywide event brochures are made available by the Washington County Cooperative Library Services.
Hillsboro also provides a calendar of our local programs and performances when families register.
